MMYPEM participated in the Extra Send-Out (ESO) project, which consisted of increasing the plant’s natural gas delivery capacity by an additional 1.5 BCMA (billion cubic metres per year), bringing the total nameplate capacity from 12 BCMA to 13.5 BCMA.
The scope of works carried out by MMYPEM consists of the installation of a vaporizer and a high pressure liquefied natural gas (LNG) pump together with all associated piping interconnections and installation of supports.
As is normal in any gas plant, this work demands a very high level of quality in the execution of the work, from prefabrication to the final installation on site.
One of the highlights of the project was the achievement of carrying out all these works with the plant in operation, always under the strictest safety and planning requirements.
The works included the realisation of 18 Tie-Ins, on gas pipe lines that were always kept in operation, an essential requirement of the client.
MMYPEM managed to complete the works on schedule and without delay, achieving maximum satisfaction on the part of its client SENER and the owner of the plant, Gate Terminal.
