We would like to look back to our most important projects carried out during the year. A year in which we have learned to live with a pandemic and  we could not be prouder of the team that accompanies us.

[CURTIS] – MMYPEM carried out the mechanical works of the different systems of the plant, BOP, boiler, turbine and auxiliary systems, as well as the support during the chemical cleaning and blowing phases. MMYPEM also carried out the work during the scheduled shutdown at the Curtis biomass plant, bringing its stage at the biomass plant to an end. This plant is the second largest biomass plant in Spain and the first in technological innovation.

[FUNDAO Y VISEU] Elecnor consolidated its position as the successful bidder for the construction of two biomass plants in Portugal, located in Viseu and Fundao. The company has worked on the design, engineering, equipment supply, construction, installation and commissioning of both plants, as well as on the evacuation line of the Fundao plant and the substation associated with the Viseu plant.

MMYPEM, after having carried out the commissioning in 2019, returned to carry out work during the scheduled shutdown of the Fundao and Viseu biomass plants, which lasted a month and a half.

[GERMANY] – Sener and MMEC were awarded a major turnkey (EPC) contract for a gas cogeneration plant (CHP Plant – Combined Heat & Power Plant) at the Scholven/Gelsenkirchen thermal power plant. They were responsible for the design, supply, installation, commissioning and start-up of the main equipment as well as the necessary associated equipment and services (electrical equipment, instrumentation and control system, civil works, auxiliary equipment).

MMYPEM’s scope consisted of the assembly of two gas turbines model SGT-800 and one steam turbine model SST-300, both SIEMENS, with their corresponding generators. The process also includes the assembly of equipment, piping and BOP supports.

[IVORY COAST] – MMYPEM strengthens its presence in Central Africa with the opening of a branch office in Ivory Coast. The agency, already in operation, has been set up in Abidjan, the economic capital and main city of Côte d’Ivoire, which is also the country’s most important commercial and financial centre.

The company, specialised in mechanical assemblies and global start-ups, is committed to the Ivory Coast because of its development potential. Through its new Ivorian agency, MMYPEM has signed a contract with the Cobra Group for the assembly of the steam turbine and the air condenser for the Azito combined cycle power plant, as well as the commissioning of the gas turbine and other work.

MMYPEM’s extensive experience is once again a determining factor in the awarding of this type of work by the Cobra Group.

[BELGIUM – BIOMASS PLANT] – Elecnor has been awarded the contract to build a biomass cogeneration plant in the Belgian city of Ghent. The plant has been promoted by Gentse Warmte Centrale (GWC), a company set up by Belgian Eco Energy (BEE) and the British fund Equitix.

The installation, located in a former coal terminal in the port of Ghent, will have an electricity generation capacity of 19.9 MW by burning non-recycled demolition wood of local origin.

MMYPEM has carried out the commissioning, the scope of which is the mechanical PEM, operation and E+I&C (electricity, instrumentation and control).

.

From MMYPEM we wish that this year will be full of new projects and health.
