MMYPEM is actively taking part in a project at the Shagaya Renewable Energy Park by providing both, mechanical assembly services regarding the solar field as well as relevant mechanical assembly services corresponding to relevant equipment and turbine.
This solar thermal plant is part of a unique 60 MW solar energy complex, integrated in the Shagaya Renewable Energy Park, which is formed by a 50 MW thermosolar plant and a 10 MW photovoltaic plant. In 2030 it will have a total installed capacity of 2,000 MW and is part of the Government’s plan to produce 15% of its total energy needs through renewable energy sources.
This park is located in the northern part of the country, in Al Yahra, a city located 32 kilometers west of the capital of Kuwait (Kuwait City).
