Duro Felguera has relied on MMYPEM to supervise the start-up of LNG Fluxys plant in Belgium. Works entrusted to MMYPEM include the preparation and commissioning of the compressors, from the supervision of construction until commissioning.
This project consists in the expansion of the Zeebrugge regasification plant located in the port of the same name in the surrounding area of Bruges (Belgium), and it involves two actions: a LNG storage tank with a capacity of 180,000 cubic meters and a system for recovering natural gas vapours (boil-off).
The tank installed at the Fluxys Zeebrugge LNG terminal ranks as one of the largest in the world in terms of storage capacity. It is a new semi-buried total containment tank that, added to the four existing tanks, will allow to expand the current level of storage capacity (380,000 cbm) at the Fluxys-operated Zeebrugge terminal in Belgium
