MMYPEM reinforces its presence in Central Africa with the opening of a branch in the Ivory Coast. The agency, already in operation, has been set up in Abidjan, the economic capital and main city of the Ivory Coast, which is also the country’s most important commercial and financial centre.
The company, specialised in mechanical assemblies and global start-ups, has chosen the Ivory Coast because of its development potential.
This marks its official opening in the country, where, through its new Ivorian agency, MMYPEM has signed a contract with the Cobra Group for the assembly of the steam turbine and air condenser for the Azito combined cycle power plant. This plant is being expanded by 253MW of power, which will mean a total of 700MW once it is in operation.
In addition to this, MMYPEM is carrying out pre-contract work at the plant, which generally includes the assembly of piping and supports.
