MMYPEM has demonstrated its great technical capacity with the commissioning of this Diesel Motor to be used in case of emergency for the operation of the Ibiza Thermal Power Plant.
The Ibiza thermal power station is a conventional cycle thermoelectric plant located in the municipality of Ibiza at Balearic Islands (Spain). It has 6 active thermal groups with 292 MW total power, which use natural gas as main fuel while diesel as auxiliary. It is owned by the multinational company so called Endesa. The system also includes a gas turbine of 14 MW, located on the island of Formentera, which is interconnected underwater with Ibiza.
