ACCIONA INDUSTRIAL has awarded MMYPEM the contract for the biomass power plant promoted by Forestalia in Cubillos del Sil (León).
MMYPEM will carry out the mechanical works of the different plant systems, BOP, boiler, turbine and auxiliary systems, as well as the support during the chemical cleaning and blowing phases.
Cubillos del Sil biomass plant is expected to start generating electricity in early 2020. Once operational, it will have an installed capacity of 49.9 megawatts (MW) and will generate 290 GWh per year from approximately 280,000 tons of vegetable biomass per year.
