Elecnor has awarded MMYPEM a new contract to provide support to the operation from the Control Room and the biomass park of two biomass plants in Portugal, located in the cities of Viseu and Fundão.
Both biomass power plants have been constructed by Elecnor and they incorporate the latest innovations for the production of energy through forest fuel. Each plant has an installed capacity of 15 megawatts (MW) which allows to reach an annual production of 117,000 MWh and prevent the emission of approximately 88,400 Tn of CO2 per year (per plant).
MMYPEM will provide support from the control room and the biomass park during the most critical phases of the start-up, and thus be able to contribute their expertise to ensure that the two plants successfully achieve commercial operations.
