Slovenské Elektrárne (ENEL) awards to MMYPEM the support for the assembly and commissioning of the 3 diesel generators of the Mochovce nuclear power plant, located near the town of Mochovce, a former town in the west of Slovakia between Nitra and Levice in the district of Levice and 120 km from Bratislava.
The two new reactors, Mochovce 3 and 4, will produce 880 megawatts (MW) of electricity, covering up to 22% of the Slovak electricity demand. The annual production of two units will save more than 7 million tons of CO2 emissions.
As nuclear power plants do not emit greenhouse gases into the atmosphere, they contribute to the reduction of CO2 emissions by 15 million tons in Slovakia.
